Afghan suicide blast 'kills 12'
At least 12 people have been killed and five others wounded in a suicide attack at a police station in the southern Afghan province of Uruzgan, officials say. Most of the victims are thought to be police officers who were having lunch at the time. It is not yet clear who the assailant was, and whether he was in any way connected to the police force due to the fact he was in the dining area. Afghan police have been constantly targeted by the Taliban, and the attack comes shortly after Nato forces handed over security responsibility to local Afghan forces. In a seperate incident on Friday, two children were killed by a roadside bomb, according to officials. They were thought to be aged around 10 to 11.
