At least eight people have been killed after gunmen opened fire outside a mosque in Quetta in South-West Pakistan, officials say. Around 15 others were injured in the attack, which happened as worshipers left a Sunni mosque following sunrise prayers as part of the Eid al-Fitr festival.  Four unidentified men are reported to have opened fire on the car of former Pakistan People's Party provincial minister Ali Madad Jatak, but he was unhurt. No group has said it carried out the shooting. AFP news agency quoted a senior local police officer as saying four people died at the scene while the others succumbed to their injuries in hospital. One witness to the shooting told the AP news agency: "When people came outside on the stairs, the terrorists were already present there". He added: "Two children were among the martyrs and around 20 people were injured".
