USA: Fears four to six people are dead after plane crash in Connecticut

Four to six people are feared dead after a small plane crashed into homes on its approach to a Connecticut airport, accident investigators say. The National Transportation Safety Board said there were casualty reports of two or three people in the aircraft and two or three on the ground.The crash occured on Friday morning as the aircraft was approaching Tweed New Haven regional airport. The local mayor said two of those missing are thought to be young children aged 1 and 13 who were inside the house -  firefighters say that two bodies have been spotted inside the home. Officials say the crash caused two houses to set on fire. The AP news agency has quoted the local fire chief Douglas Jackson as saying officials "presume there is going to be a very bad outcome". The Federal Aviation Administration has said the multi-engine propeller-driven aircraft had crashed at 11.25am on Friday morning whilst on approach to Tweed New Haven. The aircraft had flown out of Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.
