Gunmen open fire inside up-market Kenyan Shopping center - apparent Terrorist Attack: 30 killed

The attack took place in the Kenyan capital Nairobi
Gunmen have opened fire and used grenades inside a shopping mall in the Kenyan capital city of Nairobi. There are reports that at thirty people have been killed and many more injured in the attack at the Kenyan capital's up-market shopping mall. It is reported that the attack may have been terrorism, although no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The gunmen - armed with AK47 guns - wore black face masks as they stormed the popular shopping center. Witnesses quoted by the AP news agency said police arrived on foot around 30 minutes after the attack began. The mall where the attack took place is situated in Nairobi's affluent westlands area and is frequently visited by rich Kenyans and expatriates. The Associated Press News agency quoted one witness, who was eating at a restaurant inside the mall at the time of the midday attack, as saying attackers lobbed hand grenades inside the building, before gunfire burst out and people screamed as they dropped to the ground.
