New Nasa Moon Mission Blasts off
The US Space Agency Nasa has launched its latest mission to the moon. The Un-manned LADEE (Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer) mission blasted off at 23.27 local time last night from a rocket facility on the US East Coast. The mission, which is costing $280 million, is to investigate the tiny atmosphere that surrounds the moon, and will also try to get some insights on the strange behavior of moon dust; which appears on occasions to levitate high above the lunar planets surface. In addition, the probe will test a new laser communications system that Nasa hopes to install on future planetary missions. At the end of its mission, LADEE will crash into the moon.
