Two-headed turtle gets its own Facebook page

Two-headed turtle, San Diego Zoo
A two-headed turtle born last month at San Antonio Zoo has become so popular that it now has its own Facebook page. Zoo officials say the two-headed reptile, named Thelma and Louise, has been doing well; with a spokeswoman saying it eats and swims - adding that the two heads seem to get along. She also said that the zoo did not for-see any health issues for the animal. The two heads are also said to be individually eating. The reptile hatched on 18 June, and the two heads are a result of twins who did not separate - like conjoined twins in humans. Its not the first time the zoo has had two-headed reptiles; from 1978 to 1995, the zoo housed a two headed rat snake.
