Mexico: Train crash leaves five dead
At least five people have been killed after a cargo train derailed in southern Mexico, officials say. Authorities said at least 35 people were injured - 16 of them gravely - and an unknown number of people were also trapped, according to the Red Cross. The train which derailed is known for transporting migrants hoping to reach the United States, with hundreds of people often traveling on the roof as they undertake the risky journey in hope of a better life. The Head of Civil protection for Mexico's Tabasco State, Burelo Burelo, said the derailment occured early on Sunday as the train headed north from the border of Guatemala, and that there were dozens of people onboard.
