US document leaker Bradley Mannings apologizes
Bradley Mannings has apologized for hurting the United States by leaking a series of top-secret classified documents to the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks. At a sentencing hearing in Fort Meade, Mannings said he had wrongly believed that leaking the files could "change the world for the better" adding that in retrospect he should of worked "inside the system". The 25 year old, who faces up to 90 years in jail, said that the last three years had been a "learning experience" and, in the statement, apologized to Americans saying; "I am sorry my actions hurt people. I am sorry It hurt the United States.
